Mission College’s Pharmacy Technician Program offers a unique opportunity to launch a rewarding career in the pharmacy field. This comprehensive, nine-month program is now tuition-free, making it accessible to a broad range of students. The curriculum takes a practical, hands-on approach, preparing graduates for immediate employment in various pharmacy settings, including retail, hospital, and closed-door pharmacies. Students benefit from instruction provided by both experienced pharmacists and certified pharmacy technicians, gaining invaluable insights into the daily realities of the profession. A significant component of the program is the clinical externship, which provides real-world experience in a pharmacy environment. Upon completion, graduates not only receive a Certificate of Completion but also become eligible to apply for licensure by the California State Board of Pharmacy and sit for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam, setting them up for success in their chosen career path.
