Binghamton University’s Pharmacy Technician Program Microcredential is a comprehensive 20-week, 420-hour training program designed to prepare graduates for a rewarding career as entry-level pharmacy technicians. This noncredit program emphasizes hands-on learning through a blend of online, self-paced modules, live classroom instruction, and state-of-the-art simulation labs for both sterile and nonsterile compounding. A key component includes four weeks of clinical rotations at local hospitals and pharmacies, providing invaluable real-world experience under the guidance of experienced preceptors. This program not only equips learners with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in medication dispensing and patient care but also prepares them to successfully pass the national pharmacy technician certification exam, greatly enhancing their job prospects.
