Binghamton University’s Pharmacy Technician Program Microcredential is a comprehensive 20-week, 420-hour training designed to equip graduates with the skills and knowledge to excel as entry-level pharmacy technicians. Emphasizing hands-on experience and career readiness, the program combines online self-paced learning, live classroom instruction, and laboratory simulations with invaluable clinical rotations at local healthcare facilities. Students will learn essential tasks, including prescription dispensing, medication compounding (sterile and non-sterile), inventory management, and insurance processing. This program also prepares students to take on expanded roles such as medication reconciliation and allergy screening.
