The Binghamton University Pharmacy Technician Program Microcredential is a comprehensive 20-week, 420-hour entry-level training program designed to equip graduates with the skills and confidence to excel in the expanding healthcare field of pharmacy technology. This noncredit microcredential focuses on preparing learners to be practice-ready by providing a blend of online self-paced learning, live classroom instruction, and laboratory experience, culminating in four weeks of valuable clinical rotations. Beyond dispensing and prescription tasks, the program covers expanded roles like medication reconciliation and allergy screening, ensuring graduates are well-versed in the evolving responsibilities of pharmacy technicians.
