Binghamton University’s Pharmacy Technician Program Microcredential is a comprehensive 20-week, 420-hour program designed to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel as entry-level pharmacy technicians. This noncredit program focuses on building a well-rounded healthcare workforce in the Broome County area by providing practice-ready training and preparing learners to pass the national pharmacy technician certification exam. The curriculum covers essential areas like dispensing prescriptions, compounding medications, managing inventory, and processing insurance claims, while also introducing expanded roles such as medication reconciliation and allergy screening.
